2. What Data Do We Collect?

This website provides information and a scientifically based self-assessment test for impostor syndrome. The self-test runs entirely in your browser – no answers are sent to any server. Personal data is only processed in the cases described below.

3. Hosting & Server Log Files

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany). The server stores technically necessary log data on each access: IP address (anonymized), date and time, page accessed, browser type, and operating system. This data is deleted after 7 days at the latest. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in security and operational functionality).

4. Matomo (Web Analytics, Cookie-Free)

This website uses Matomo, a self-hosted open-source software for statistical visitor analysis. Matomo is configured to not set any cookies (disableCookies). Only anonymized data is collected: shortened IP address, pages visited, time spent, browser used, and screen resolution. The data is not shared with third parties and does not leave our server (matomo.simipa.com). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in website optimization). You can opt out at any time by disabling JavaScript in your browser or using a Do-Not-Track-enabled browser.

9. Third-Country Data Transfer

Most of our affiliate partners (Thalia, Amazon) are based in Germany or the EU. If a partner is based in the US, an adequate level of data protection is ensured through the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

10. Changes

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to reflect changes in legal requirements or our services.
